Ikon could refer to 3 artists; 1) Ikon are a gothic rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band was founded in 1991 from the ashes of another gothic rock band, Death in the Dark. by vocalist/guitarist and Church of Satan member Chris McCarter, bassist Dino Molinaro and (former) vocalist Michael Carrodus. In 1996 Ikon landed a licencing deal with American label Metropolis Records which saw their music released to a much larger audience outside Australia. This eventually lead to tours in Europe, including several performances at Gothic music festivals, including Wave Gotik Treffen, M'era Luna and Waves of Darkness.
